Success Story

The National Park Foundation uses mCommons to fundraise and build community

The National Park Foundation used mobile messaging to create a direct, personal connection emphasizing storytelling, interactive quizzes, and personalized outreach.

With traditional email outreach becoming crowded, the National Park Foundation (NPF) needed to diversify their donor communication strategy with a fresh way to connect with park lovers—one that would deepen relationships, inspire action, and drive sustained support for the parks.

NPF worked closely with mCommons to launch a mobile messaging program that brought stories, inspiration, and interactive content directly to supporters’ phones. With help from the mCommons team, NPF built out automations, onboarding, and creative campaigns, which turned text messaging into a powerful tool for not only fundraising, but also community-building and lasting loyalty.

The National Park Foundation’s results:
• $208,000+ raised in the first 8 months
• 10,000+ new mobile subscribers added
• $57,000 raised from a single 3X match campaign
