SFpark wins a Good Government Award!

Congratulations to SFpark, which just won a Good Government Award from SPUR, an organization devoted to “good planning and good government in the San Francisco Bay Area.” The full awards citation reads:

The SFpark team was chosen for its implementation of the groundbreaking smart parking management program. SFpark is the most progressive parking management program in the United States of America, providing convenience to drivers, reducing traffic from people looking for parking, and moving toward a demand-based pricing system. The SFpark team designed and implemented a large pilot program under tight time constraints, demonstrating innovation within an area of the public realm that is often taken for granted.

If you’re not familiar with SFpark, it’s the ground-breaking programin San Francisco that lets drivers text in to find the closest available parking lot – reducing commute times, unclogging city streets, and positively impacting both the quality of San Franciscan life and the environment.
