
Over the past week, the Internet has been erupting with anti-SOPA advocacy. A number of organizations, including Tumblr, Google, Stack Overflow, Mozilla, and Creative Commons are working to get their users to petition Congress to vote against the bill. They’re using our click-to-call advocacy tool, which connects people directly to their Congressional representative
Gizmodo just wrote an incredibly kind piece about the effort. In the piece, entitled “It Just Got Incredibly Easy to Tell Congress that SOPA Sucks,” they write:
It’s super simple. Take, for example, Engine Advocacy, which has campaign to stop SOPA. You just enter your name, address, and phone number. Mobile Commons does all of the legwork, looking up your congress person, and then calling your phone number. Once you answer you may be briefed on some talking-points, which I found to be really handy.
