Anthony Risicato, CEO

Anthony Risicato is a 15-year interactive industry veteran, focused on building high-performance teams across a variety of disciplines.
Most recently, Anthony has served as General Manager for Covario – a SaaS technology provider – and as General Manager at Innovation Interactive – a cutting edge digital marketing services firm.
Previously, Anthony was based in London, heading up DoubleClick’s Business Development for Europe, Middle East and Africa and also managed the DART for Advertiser’s start-up and operations across the UK, France, Germany, Sweden and Ireland.
Anthony has held numerous speaking engagements at the IAB Europe Annual Meeting in Brussels, several Pan-European Advertising Seminars, and serves as an advisor/board member for startup companies.
Anthony is a summa cum laude graduate of Pace University in New York, and is active in the support and fundraising for charitable organizations. He can typically be found somewhere between Manhattan and Montauk (and usually on his bike).
Jed Alpert, Co-founder & Chief Strategy Officer

Jed is a co-founder of Mobile Commons and currently the Chief Strategy Officer. Previously he served as the President of Sunshine Amalgamedia where he developed an innovative syndication sponsorship model, commissioning top young directors to make short films for multiple distribution networks with nationally branded sponsorship. Sunshine partners, clients, and customers have included Microsoft, Oracle, Scripps Howard, and others. Additionally, while at Sunshine, Jed oversaw the production of feature films and developed television.
Prior to joining Sunshine, Jed worked as an attorney, focusing his practice on entertainment and media law. During his time practicing law at Rudolph and Beer, and as an associate at Paul Weiss, Jed’s clients included films such as Slingblade, Hurricane Streets, Sunday, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, The Cruise, Next Stop Wonderland, Three Seasons, and Star Maps. He represented companies such as Open City Films, Rhino Entertainment and Sonic Net.
Jed has produced numerous feature films including Sunday, winner of the 1997 Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize and the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award. He has also served on the board of a number of film festivals and arts organizations, including Genart, The Newport Film Festival and Thread Waxing Space.
Benjamin Stein, Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer

Ben is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Mobile Commons, where he is responsible for product development, system architecture, and technical operations. He is one of the leading pioneers shaping how nonprofit organizations successfully use mobile communication for advocacy, fundraising, list building, and organizing.
Ben has 15 years of experience building Internet applications of all shapes and sizes. He spent much of his career building distributed software for B2B customers. With a background in both the financial and medical industries, he has extensive experience with high availability systems with a focus on security and data sensitivity. As a software engineer at Bloomberg LP, Ben developed their trading system, search engine, and web services. After Bloomberg, he worked at ShadowTV, transcoding, indexing and streaming 100s of terabytes of video data for government and corporate customers.
Ben earned a BS in electrical and biological engineering and a Master’s in medical image processing, both at Cornell University. After completing his studies, he took a position as a Visiting Scientist, developing medical software used in clinical trials for lung cancer screening and image analysis tools used in General Electric’s CT scanners.
Ben lives on a small urban farm in Brooklyn with his wife Arin and he can usually be found coding, biking, or rock climbing.
